Sometimes, you have to let go of whatever no longer serves a purpose in your life. I had to learn that through trial and error, and trust me, that shit is not fun, but it is necessary.

Don Henley once said, “Sometimes you get the best light from a burning bridge.” And that does not only apply to people. It can be a habit, something material, or even a way of thinking that you have outgrown.

For the past two years, I thought everything I was trying to build was burning to the ground. But now, I see it differently. I believe God was burning away the old version of me to make room for someone stronger, someone who can endure more, move with wisdom, gain knowledge, and better understand why certain things have to happen.
